California Law - Employee or Independent Contractor

On September 18, 2019, California Governor Newsom signed into law AB5, which further expands California's regulations in determining whether a worker may be classified as an employee or an independent contractor. 

This new legislation will affect many businesses and their "gig economy" workforces. This law does not just apply to just the Ubers and Lyfts of the world. We developed our continuing education courses to help clarify some of the guidelines and rulings. This course can apply to both business owners and independent CPAs, EAs, and California tax professionals.
