This course reviews the professional, ethical, and compliance requirements governing tax practitioners under Treasury Department Circular 230. Topics include practitioner responsibilities and representation rights, due diligence, client records, fees, conflicts of interest, standards for tax returns and written advice, best practices, sanctions, disciplinary proceedings, and other requirements affecting tax practice.
