COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course reviews the federal tax rules affecting taxpayers domiciled in community property states. Topics include determining domicile, allocating various types of income between spouses, married filing separately considerations, exceptions to community property treatment, and other related tax issues.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
After completing this course, participants will be able to identify domicile considerations and apply community property rules to the allocation and reporting of income for federal tax purposes.
