COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course reviews key federal tax law changes and developments affecting individuals and businesses for 2026. Topics include new and modified deductions, investment and retirement provisions, depreciation and business incentives, casualty loss rules, SALT considerations, and other important tax planning and compliance developments.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
After completing this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify key federal tax law changes affecting individuals and businesses for 2026.
- Recognize new and modified deductions involving tips, overtime, educators, passenger vehicle interest, and other individual tax provisions.
- Assess changes affecting business and investment taxation, including qualified small business stock, Qualified Opportunity Funds, bonus depreciation, and qualified production property.
- Evaluate the impact of other significant tax developments, including retirement provisions, casualty losses, SALT limitations, and related planning opportunities.
