
Learning Objective: After completing this course, the student will be able to identify taxpayers that qualify for EITC, properly classify income for purposes of computing the credit and determine which taxpayer qualifies for EITC when a child is a qualified child for more than one taxpayer. The student will also learn how to deal with a number of special circumstances including; household employees, combat pay election, death of the qualifying child or taxpayer, credit phase-our, credit disallowance, etc. Students will also learn how to comply with the EITC due diligence and identification requirements plus a variety of special issues related to EITC.
