Learning Objective: After completing this course; the student will be able to identify taxpayers that qualify for EITC, properly classify income for purposes of the computing the credit and determine which taxpayer qualifies for EITC when a child is a qualified child for more than taxpayer. The student will also learn how to deal with a number of special circumstances including; household employees, combat pay election, death of the qualifying child or taxpayer, credit phase-out, credit disallowance, etc. Students will also learn how to comply with the EITC due diligence and identification requirements plus a variety of special issues related to EITC.
