Learning Objectives - After completing this course, the student will be able to compute the flat dollar amount penalty and percentage of household income penalty and properly transfer that information by the month onto the penalty worksheet to determine the shared responsibility penalty for the year. The student will also learn how to apply the many penalty exceptions available to avoid the penalty, including special exemptions and where to obtain exemption certificate numbers (ECN). Includes a discussion of how to complete Form 8965 to claim exceptions of hardship waivers.
