Learning Objective: After completing this course, the student will be aware of and be able to apply the difference between Federal tax law and California tax. Although California generally conforms to Federal tax law there are a myriad of differences that a practitioner must be aware of and be on the lookout for. Material includes major differences related to COD income, Registered Domestic Partners, CA tax credits, same-sex married individuals, community property issues, California residency issues, treatment of military personnel and spouses and countless other issues.
