This learning path is designed for exempt tax preparers, those who are not EAs, CPAs or Attorneys and are exempt from taking the IRS 6-hour annual refresher course. The learning path offers the 15 hours of continuing education needed to obtain a “record of completion” and have limited representation rights for returns they prepare:
- CPE00618 - Ethics - Circular 230 Compliance Issues -2 Hours CPE
- CPE115 - Tax Cuts & Jobs Act Tax Update - 3 Hours CPE
- CPE1018 - Federal Tax Subjects - 10 Hours CPE - This comprehensive Federal review includes coverage of all the most important issues, including the EITC, Filing Status, Itemized Deductions, Dependents, Affordable Care Act, Premium Tax Credit, Retirement Plans, Preparer Penalties, eFile Compliance and much more.
The course material can be downloaded as a PDF for easy offline studying. The CPE final exams are multiple choice and allow for unlimited retakes. All courses need to be passed by a score of 70% or higher.
